Jack Wilshere took part in his first pre-season training session on Friday as he joined up with his Arsenal team-mates to begin his preparations for the new campaign.

The England midfielder was given an extended summer holiday after his involvement in Euro 2016 with Roy Hodgson’s men, and enjoyed a trip to Santorini with his girlfriend.

However, Wilshere’s focus will now be on the forthcoming Premier League season and making sure that he is in peak physical condition after missing most of last term with injury.
