The Argentina international’s future has been a source of debate in recent weeks, with Arsenal thought to be interested in the 23-year-old Inter skipper as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options at the Emirates Stadium.

The South American netted 16 times in 29 Serie A appearances for Inter in the 2015/16 campaign, taking his tally to 47 goals in 84 appearances for the Nerazzurri over the past three seasons.

Inter’s Serie A rivals Napoli are also thought to be interested in signing Icardi as the runners-up prepare for life without Gonzalo Higuain after his big-money move to champions Juventus.

But Icardi put the transfer speculation to one side on Tuesday as he trained under the watchful eye of Inter manager Mancini ahead of their upcoming pre-season friendlies Stateside.
