Antonio Conte took charge of his first Chelsea training session on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blues appointed the 46-year-old as their next permanent manager earlier this year ahead of Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign.
Conte replaces interim manager Guus Hiddink after the Dutchman succeeded Jose Mourinho in December.
The former Juventus defender led Italy to the quarter-finals of the European championship before a penalty shootout defeat by world champions Germany.
The west London side have only signed one player in the summer transfer window thus far despite being linked with a host of different players.
Belgium international Michy Batshuayi completed a £34m transfer to the 2015 Premier League champions from Marseille earlier this month.
Conte won three successive Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia during a three-year spell in charge of Juventus before he stood down to take over the reins of the Italian national team.
The Blues start their first Premier League campaign under Conte with a home clash against bitter London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Monday 15 August.
