New Chelsea signing Michy Batshuayi gets his first run out

Michy Batshuayi made his first Chelsea appearance as Antonio Conte’s side were 3-0 winners against RZ Pellets WAC on Wednesday night.

The Blues forward was a second-half substitute for Diego Costa in Austria after the Belgium international completed a £34m move to Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1 side Marseille earlier this month.

However, the new summer signing failed to get on the score sheet for the west London side as goals from Bertrand Traore, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah secured a first win for Conte.

Chelsea had suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat by Rapid Vienna in their first pre-season friendly under Conte at the weekend after the Italian coach had taken over the reins of the Blues.

The 2015 Premier League champions finished in tenth place in the table last term in what was a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown under Jose Mourinho and then Guus Hiddink.

Chelsea will face West Ham in their opening game of the 2016/17 campaign.

Here is a round-up of the best photos from Chelsea’s 3-0 pre-season win.
