Loris Karius and Sadio Mane are all smiles at Liverpool training on Tuesday afternoon

Loris Karius and Sadio Mane appeared in high spirits as Jurgen Klopp put his Liverpool squad through their paces on Tuesday afternoon.

The Reds edged to a 1-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers in their first pre-season game at the weekend as Mane made his first Liverpool appearance following a £30m move from Southampton earlier this month.

Karius, who has been handed the number one shirt following his £4.7m switch from Bundesliga side Mainz, also impressed as he looks to prove to Klopp that he should be first-choice this coming season.

Brazil international Philippe Coutinho was also in action at Melwood training ground alongside his compatriots Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva.

Liverpool will take on Fleetwood Town in their next fixture on Wednesday night before a clash against 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic.

Klopp’s side will take part in the International Champions Cup, which will see the Merseyside outfit face Chelsea, AC Milan and Barcelona.

Here is a selection of the best photos from Tuesday’s training session.
