Marko Grujic scores on his Liverpool debut in a 5-0 pre-season victory over Fleetwood Town on Wednesday night

Marko Grujic impressed on his Liverpool debut as the Reds eased to a 5-0 victory over Fleetwood Town on Wednesday night.

The Serbian youngster broke the deadlock inside 18 minutes of their pre-season at Highbury Stadium as Grujic looked to impress new manager Jurgen Klopp following his summer switch.

Ben Woodburn doubled the away side’s lead seven minutes after half-time before Brazil midfielder Lucas Leiva netted a rare goal for the Merseyside outfit.

His fellow South American Roberto Firmino completed the five-goal rout with two goals in the final 20 minutes as Klopp’s side racked up back-to-back pre-season wins after a victory over Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.

Liverpool finished in a disappointing eighth place in the Premier League last season after Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers in October.

The Reds lost to Manchester City and Sevilla in their two cups finals in the 2015/16 season.

Here is a round-up of the best photos from Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over Fleetwood on Wednesday night.
