Eric Bailly trains with his new Manchester United team-mates at Carrington on Wednesday
Eric Bailly was all smiles at first-team training on Wednesday as Manchester United duo Juan Mata and Jose Mourinho even appeared in high spirits.
The Ivory Coast defender completed a £30m move to the Red Devils from La Liga outfit Villarreal earlier this summer after becoming the first signing of the Mourinho era at Old Trafford.
The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid head coach was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May after the Dutchman paid the price for a fifth-place finish in the Premier League table.
According to The Daily Record, United are planning to sell Mata, Marcos Rojo, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Daley Blind in the summer transfer window.
Mourinho sold Mata to United in a £37.5m deal from Chelsea in January 2013 after deeming the Spanish midfielder surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
But there were no signs of any animosity between the pair at Carrington training ground on Wednesday afternoon as the new United manager put his players through their paces.
