Piers Morgan trolls Arsenal after Andy Murray wins Wimbledon

Piers Morgan aims a dig at Arsenal after Andy Murray's Wimbledon triumph and Lewis Hamilton's British Grand Prix win

Piers Morgan could not help but aim a dig at Arsenal’s lack of success in recent years after Andy Murray won his second Wimbledon title on Sunday.

The British No1 secured a three-set victory over Milos Raonic to win his second title at the All England Club at SW19 on Sunday afternoon.

It marks Murray’s third grand slam success after his past triumphs at Wimbledon in 2013 and the US Open in 2012.

However, Arsenal supporter and club shareholder Morgan – who has been relentless in his criticism of Arsene Wenger in recent seasons – was quick to use his personal Twitter account to aim a dig at the north London club.

Morgan tweeted a picture of Murray and British Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton on Sunday afternoon, and wrote:

Arsenal ended up without a trophy last season after challenging for much of the campaign, eventually finishing 10 points behind champions Leicester City in the top flight table.
