PSG enter into talks to sign reported Man United target – report
PSG want to sign reported Manchester United target James Rodriguez, according to Yahoo Sport
James Rodriguez is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential move to the Ligue 1 champions this summer, according to Yahoo Sport.
The Colombia international was out of favour in the second half of the 2015/16 La Liga campaign under Zinedine Zidane following Rafael Benitez’s sacking as Los Blancos manager.
Rodriguez had emerged as a target for the Red Devils earlier this summer, with ex-United manager Louis van Gaal previously linked with a move for the South American.
New Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho and Rodriguez share the same agent – Jorge Mendes, and the playmaker was reported to have been spotted in Manchester last month amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
However, according to a Yahoo Sport exclusive courtesy of Yahoo Sport France, PSG are currently in negotiations with the Colombia international and his agent Mendes over a deal to sign the midfielder from Real Madrid.
Rodriguez scored seven times and made eight assists in 28 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last term.
However, the Colombian only started 17 of Madrid’s 38 top-flight outings in a difficult season season at The Bernabeu.
