Reported Man United transfer target comments on talk of Old Trafford move
Hirving Lozano says that he knows nothing about Manchester United's reported interest in signing him
Hirving Lozano insists that he knows nothing about Manchester United’s reported interest in signing him this summer.
The Mexican winger has been touted as a potential target for the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
Lozano has scored 21 goals in 91 games in Liga MX and has seven caps for his country.
Now, amid the speculation linking him with a possible move to Old Trafford, Lozano has moved to play down talk of a transfer to England purely as speculation.
Lozano told Record.com, as quoted by Sky Sports News HQ: “It’s nice to hear people talk about a potential move to Manchester United, but it would have been better if it was actually a fact.
“I don’t know anything about United’s interest. If the club tell me anything, then we will see, but I don’t know anything about it at this stage.
“I am at Pachuca now and we will see what happens in the future.”
New United boss Mourinho has already moved quickly to bolster his squad this summer, bringing in Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The United boss is likely to be still on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer as he prepares for a return to Premier League management with the Red Devils following his sacking by Chelsea back in December.
