Revealed: David Beckham’s private message for Man United’s Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford's rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed by David Beckham

Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to reveal that David Beckham has sent him a private message on a signed shirt wishing him all the best for his future at Manchester United.

The Manchester United starlet earned plenty of praise after breaking into the first team under Louis van Gaal in the second half of last season.

Rashford’s sparkling displays earned the 18-year-old striker a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad for Euro 2016.

The teenager is now gearing up for life under new manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford as the 2016-17 season draws ever nearer.

And it appears that Rashford’s rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed by a certain Manchester United legend.

Rashford shared the photo above of the shirt gifted to him by Beckham on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Nice to be appreciated by one of the best.”

The message from Beckham, personally written by the former England captain, read: “To Marcus, Good luck and continue working hard, and playing with joy and passion. Love, David Beckham.”
