Ronald Koeman to target Man United star for Everton – report
Everton want to sign Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, according to the Daily Telegraph
Ronald Koeman wants to make Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata one of his first signings as Everton manager, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Dutchman took over the reins at Goodison Park earlier this month after Roberto Martinez was sacked by the Toffees following a dismal second half of the season in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho was appointed as the new United manager in May following Louis van Gaal’s sacking as the former Chelsea manager looks to win the club’s first Premier League title since 2013.
The Portuguese coach sold Mata to United during his second spell in charge of the west London side after deeming the Spain international surplus to requirements.
Unsurprisingly, Mata has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford since Mourinho’s appointment as Van Gaal’s successor at the 20-time English champions.
Now, according to The Daily Telegraph, Everton are ready to make an offer for Mata, who does not feature in Mourinho’s plans for the Red Devils moving forward.
