Ruben Loftus-Cheek comments on new Chelsea signing

Ruben Loftus-Cheek admits that he was thrilled to see Chelsea sign N'Golo Kante this summer

Ruben Loftus-Cheek admits that he was thrilled to see Chelsea complete the signing of N’Golo Kante from Leicester City earlier this month.

The midfielder became the Blues’ second signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Michy Batshuayi.

Antonio Conte has moved quickly to bring in reinforcements to his squad as he prepares for his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge.

And Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek admits that he was very happy to see Premier League winner and France international Kante sign for the Blues this summer.

Speaking in an interview with Goal, Loftus-Cheek said: “He is a great asset to us.

“His stamina and how he can get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes [is impressive]. He is a really good player so we are lucky to have him,’ he said.

“He is a really hard worker and he is a proper team player. We could do with that in midfield and he could really help.”

Chelsea are looking to bounce back from their disastrous campaign last season as they gear up for life under new boss Conte.
