Thierry Henry gives his approval to Arsenal’s reported pursuit of duo
Thierry Henry backs Arsenal's reported pursuit of attacking duo Alvaro Morata and Alexandre Lacazette
Thierry Henry believes that Alvaro Morata or Alexandre Lacazette would help to get the best out of Olivier Giroud at Arsenal next season.
The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger bids to bolster his strike force ahead of next season.
Wenger has already signalled his intention to add some more firepower to his squad this summer with the club’s failed bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.
Both Lacazette and Morata have been touted as possible targets for Wenger this summer as he search for reinforcements continue.
And former Arsenal captain Henry feels that both players would fit the mould at The Emirates.
When asked if either Lacazette or Morata could be a good foil for Giroud next season, Henry told Sky Sports News HQ: “The guys mentioned, they’re the perfect strikers to play like that.”
