Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s agent provides latest Man United transfer update
Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah won't be leaving Old Trafford, according to his agent
Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s agent has ruled out the possibility of the defender leaving Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The Netherlands Under-19 international’s Old Trafford future was reported to be in doubt earlier this week after The Daily Mail claimed earlier this week that the teenager was one of nine first-team players who could be up for sale.
Fosu-Mensah emerged as an exciting prospect under Jose Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal in the second half of last season after the teenager made 10 appearances in all competitions.
And the Dutch youngster’s agent Jonathan Barnett has emphatically poured cold water on talk of Fosu-Mensah leaving the 20-time English champions in the summer transfer window.
“There is no truth in it. These reports are complete rubbish,” Barnett told International Business Times UK.
United have made three signings in the summer transfer window so far.
Mourinho signed Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly in a £30m deal from La Liga giants Villarreal in June.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic completed a transfer to Old Trafford from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
