Tottenham boost as Dutch striker rejects chance to join PSG – report
Vincent Janssen has turned down the chance to join PSG in the hope of joining Tottenham, according to l'Equipe
Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost after Vincent Janssen rejected the chance to join Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a move to White Hart Lane, according to l’Equipe.
The Lilywhites have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Netherlands international from Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar.
However, Spurs target Janssen has already expressed his frustration at his employers refusing to negotiate with the Premier League side after a reported £16.5m offer.
Ligue 1 side PSG are also thought to be interested in the 21-year-old striker after a prolific return of 27 goals in the Dutch top flight last season.
However, according to French media outlet l’Equipe, PSG agreed a deal with AZ Alkmaar for the centre-forward but the Netherlands international rejected the chance to join them.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be keen to add more attacking depth to his squad this summer and end their over-reliance on Harry Kane.
The England international scored 25 times in 37 Premier League games for the Lilywhites last season.
