Tottenham hold talks Germany star’s agent about transfer – report
Tottenham are interested in signing Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich this summer, say reports
Tottenham twice met with Mario Gotze’s father and agent during Euro 2016 as the Lilywhites ponder a transfer move for the midfielder, according to reports in Germany.
German outlet Bild is reporting that Spurs chiefs held two rounds of discussions with the player’s agent and father Jurgen during the tournament in France this summer.
The same report goes on to say that a decision about Gotze’s future beyond the summer will be made soon.
Spurs are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Mauricio Pochettino prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Lilywhites have been linked with a host of players during the summer transfer window but have thus far only signed Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
Pochettino is looking to build a squad capable of competing on all fronts next season after their third-placed finish in the Premier League last term.
The Lilywhites challenged Leicester for much of last season but failed to win the title as they ended up behind local rivals Arsenal in the table.
