Watch: New Man United signing trains under Jose Mourinho
Manchester United's summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan trains under the watchful eye of Jose Mourinho
Henrikh Mkhitaryan looked to impress Jose Mourinho as the new Manchester United signing trained at Carrington on Wednesday afternoon.
The Armenia international completed a £30m move to the Red Devils from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund earlier this month after weeks of speculation linking the playmaker with a big-money switch to Old Trafford.
Mkhitaryan is one of three new United signings in the summer transfer window under Mourinho, and new £30m Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly joined his new team-mates at the club’s training ground for their pre-season session.
And United’s Instagram page posted a clip from Wednesday’s training session.
Mourinho was named as Louis van Gaal’s replacement in May after the 20-time English champions finished in fifth place in the Premier League table behind derby rivals Manchester City.
The former Dortmund midfielder scored an impressive 11 goals and made 15 assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances for the German runners-up last term.
United won their first trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013 in May after a 2-1 extra-time victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013.
