Aaron Ramsey’s warning for Liverpool ahead of Arsenal trip
Aaron Ramsey says he is feeling in peak physical condition ahead of Arsenal's clash with Liverpool
Aaron Ramsey has warned Liverpool that he is feeling in top condition ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League opener next weekend.
The Gunners are preparing to welcome Jurgen Klopp’s men to The Emirates on Sunday afternoon for their first game of the season as both sides look to make winning starts to the campaign.
Ramsey helped Arsenal come from behind to seal an impressive 3-2 win over Manchester City in their pre-season clash on Sunday night.
And the Wales midfielder is feeling in top shape as the new Premier League campaign draws ever nearer.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website after Sunday’s game, Ramsey said: “It felt good to come in and play the last game before the start of the season.
“It’s good fitness for us and I felt good to get back out there again. I feel ready to go for Liverpool.
“We’ve got one week now to get the last bit out of us before it all kicks off again.”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.
Liverpool, meanwhile, ended up eighth in the table in Klopp’s first campaign in charge at Anfield.
Arsenal have not won the title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign but won the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015.
