Alexandre Lacazette responds to transfer talk amid Arsenal link

Alexandre Lacazette comments on his future amid the speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette has hinted that he would be open to making a transfer away from Lyon this summer as he continues to be linked with Arsenal.

The 25-year-old forward has long been touted as a possible target for Arsene Wenger’s side and the speculation linking him with a move to The Emirates has intensified this summer after Lyon confirmed that they had turned down a bid for the forward earlier in the window.

However, there appears to be no fresh news on Lacazette’s link to Arsenal, despite the Gunners looking weak in attack during Sunday’s 4-3 defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League at The Emirates.

Lacazette underlined his talent at the weekend as he smashed a hat-trick for Lyon against Nancy on Sunday afternoon – the same day Arsenal lost to Liverpool.

And speaking after the game, the France international appeared to suggest that he would be open to a move away should the right club come calling for his signature.

Speaking to Canal+ and quoted by Metro, Lacazette said: “If offers come in that one cannot refuse, I don’t want to refuse them. If not, I am happy at Lyon.”
