Sky Sports News HQ is reporting that the north London club are keeping tabs on Toprak of Bayer Leverkusen and Kjaer of Fenerbahce as Wenger desperately looks to bring in a new centre-half before the close of the summer transfer window.
The same report says that Wenger is determined to strengthen his defensive options after injuries to both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista.
The story also claims that Arsenal’s number one target Shkodran Mustafi of Valencia has agreed to join the Gunners but that the north London club are yet to agree a fee with the Spanish club.
Wenger has already found himself under intense pressure in recent days after Arsenal lost their opening game of the season and conceded four times in a 4-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal travel to Leicester City in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.
