Arsenal interested in making Serie A full-back fourth signing – report
Arsenal want to sign Torino defender Bruno Peres, according to reports in Italy
Arsenal have made an enquiry into the availability of Torino defender Bruno Peres, according to reports in Italy.
Toro News are claiming that Arsene Wenger has made a £13.5m (€16m) offer for the defender as the Arsenal manager looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of the new season.
However, the Italian media outlet are reporting that Barcelona and Manchester City are also interested in the full-back as Torino look to secure a £17m fee for Peres.
The 26-year-old has scored five goals in 62 appearances in Serie A over the past two seasons following his move to the Turin side from Brazilian outfit Santos in 2014.
Wenger has been linked with a number of players in the summer transfer window, but the Arsenal manager has only completed three deals so far.
Switzerland international Granit Xhaka moved to Arsenal in a £33m deal from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach before Euro 2016.
Japanese forward Takuma Asano and Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding secured transfers to north London in July.
Arsenal will host Liverpool in their opening game of the Premier League season on 14 August.
