Arsenal legend Thierry Henry predicts Premier League winners

Thierry Henry explains his pick to win the Premier League title this season

Thierry Henry is backing Manchester City to win the Premier League title in their first season under Pep Guardiola this term.

The Citizens are currently gearing up for their first campaign under the Spanish coach after his appointment as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor at the club earlier in the year.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are gearing up for the new campaign as they look to build on their second-placed finish in the Premier League last term.

And although former Arsenal captain Henry would love to see the Gunners end their long wait for the title this season, the Frenchman is tipping Guardiola to lead City to the top-flight crown this term.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Henry said: “My big hope is for Arsenal to win it, but I will go with City.”

Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign against Liverpool at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
