Chelsea are lining up a £60m bid to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is claiming that the Blues are keen to re-sign the Belgium international in a big-money deal this summer and that Antonio Conte is confident that the west London club can push through a deal.
The same story claims that Everton have already rejected a £57m bid from Chelsea for the striker but that Conte is sure that the new offer will tip the scales in their favour.
The article also reports that Everton are keen to get as close to their £75m asking price for the forward as possible before deciding to sell the striker.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window but have thus far only signed striker Michy Batshuayi and midfielder N’Golo Kante so far.
It remains to be seen whether the west London side can tempt the Toffees into selling their star striker this summer.
The Blues are currently gearing up for life under new manager Conte following his appointment as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge.
