Former Tottenham striker sends Twitter message to Erik Lamela
Roberto Soldado has his say on Erik Lamela's equaliser for Tottenham
Roberto Soldado was impressed with Erik Lamela’s equaliser for Tottenham Hotspur after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side threatened to extend their winless run to five Premier League games after England midfielder Ross Barkley scored a first-half opener at Goodison Park.
However, Argentina international Lamela equalised after half-time to secure a valuable point against Ronald Koeman’s new-look side on Merseyside.
And Soldado, who arrived in the same transfer window as Lamela in 2013 before returning to Spain last season, heaped praise on Lamela following the midfielder’s opening game of the season.
Golazo @ErikLamela 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Lamela will be looking to eclipse his tally in the Premier League last season after the South American scored five goals and made nine assists in 35 appearances last term.
The Argentinian midfielder became Tottenham’s club-record signing after he completed a £30.75m switch to the Lilywhites from Serie A side AS Roma three years ago.
The north London side will host their derby rivals Crystal Palace in their next Premier League fixture at White Hart Lane on Saturday 20 August.
