Gary Neville boldly predicts where Liverpool and Arsenal will finish
Gary Neville has his say about both Arsenal and Liverpool's title chances this season
Gary Neville believes that both Arsenal and Liverpool will finish in the top four this season – behind new champions Manchester United.
The Red Devils are currently preparing for their first season under new manager Jose Mourinho following his appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor back in May.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are aiming to build on their second-placed finish last season, while Liverpool are gearing up for Jurgen Klopp’s first full campaign in charge.
The Gunners host Liverpool at The Emirates in their Premier League opener on Sunday afternoon, while Manchester United travel to Bournemouth on the same day.
However, Neville is tipping United to win the title in Mourinho’s first season in charge, with Arsenal second and Liverpool fourth behind Manchester City in the top-flight table.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “I will say Manchester United for the title with Arsenal in second, Manchester City in third and Liverpool fourth.
“But if anybody is reading this and thinks I know what I’m talking about, then I need to make it clear that I really don’t have a clue!”
Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge in the 2012-13 season.
