Ian Wright delivers angry verdict on Arsenal’s attempts to sign Shkodran Mustafi
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright isn't happy with Valencia's asking price for Shkodran Mustafi
Ian Wright isn’t impressed with the latest reports that Arsenal will have to pay £50m for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The Daily Mirror have reported that los Che have set Mustafi’s asking price at £50m as the Gunners look to sign the Germany international to bolster their defensive options.
Arsenal signed Mesut Ozil in a club-record £42.5m transfer from Real Madrid in 2013 after the playmaker had helped to inspire los Blancos to domestic glory in La Liga and Copa del Rey.
Former Gunners striker Wright couldn’t contain his anger after respected journalist John Cross tweeted his story that Mustafi’s asking price stands at £50m.
@johncrossmirror taking the piss 😡 50 million for a player no one else is fighting us for !😪

Arsene Wenger signed Switzerland international Granit Xhaka in a £33m deal from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach at the start of the summer.
The Gunners boss has also added Japanese forward Takuma Asano and Bolton Wanderers centre-half Rob Holding to his squad in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are currently without centre-halves Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista due to injury.
