Insider delivers update on Man United midfielder’s future

Bastian Schweinsteiger is more likely to move to Germany than Italy this summer, according to Emanuele Giulianelli

Bastian Schweinsteiger is more likely to move to Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund than head to Serie A in the summer transfer window, according to Italian journalist Emaneuele Giulianelli.

The 31-year-old Manchester United midfielder’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks following Jose Mourinho’s arrival as the club’s new manager.

It has been suggested in various media reports that the Red Devils are open to selling the German midfielder just a year after his transfer to Old Trafford last summer.

Now – according to Italian reporter Giulianelli – if he does leave United, Schweinsteiger is more likely to head back to the Bundesliga than join an Italian team.

Giulianelli tweeted:

United are currently getting to grips with life under new manager Mourinho following the sacking of Louis van Gaal back in May.
