Insider reveals latest Arsenal injury update and transfer search
Arsenal's Gabriel Paulista has reportedly been ruled out of action for six to eight weeks with and ankle injury
Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista is set to be sidelined for six to eight weeks with a sprained ankle, according to BBC journalist David Ornstein.
The Brazilian centre-half was carried off on a stretcher during Arsenal’s 3-2 pre-season win over Manchester City on Sunday evening.
The news of his setback will come as a significant blow for the Gunners, with Per Mertesacker already sidelined for a number of months after knee surgery.
However, reporter Ornstein claims that Gabriel’s injury means that Arsenal are stepping up their chase of Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League opener against Liverpool at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners ended up second in the Premier League table and 10 points behind champions Leicester as they failed to win a trophy last season.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in 2003-04.
