Jack Wilshere is looking forward to kicking off his eighth season under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal

Jack Wilshere has taken to social media to tell Arsenal fans that Arsene Wenger has the same hunger and passion as he did when he first started working with the Frenchman eight years ago.

The England midfielder is currently gearing up for Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Liverpool at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon as the Gunners look to get their top-flight campaign off the a positive start in north London.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season but will be hoping to build on their second-placed finish last term.

And Wilshere clearly cannot contain his excitement ahead of the new Premier League campaign under Wenger’s guidance.

Wilshere posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday afternoon and wrote: “Start of my 8th season under the Boss. Same hunger. Same passion. Always learning #TheBest”

Arsenal ended up without a trophy last season as they finished in second place in the Premier League table.
