Jose Mourinho’s three-word response to Man United’s Paul Pogba news

Jose Mourinho has a blunt response to questions about Paul Pogba...

Jose Mourinho declared himself to be uninterested in Paul Pogba’s impending transfer to Manchester United.

The Red Devils announced via a statement on the club’s website on Sunday afternoon that Juventus had given Pogba permission to undergo a medical with United ahead of his proposed big-money transfer back to Old Trafford.

Pogba’s proposed move to United has been one of the longest-running transfer sagas recent years, with the 23-year-old midfielder having been relentlessly linked with a transfer back to Old Trafford all summer.

Now, it appears that United are finally poised to complete a deal to bring the France midfielder back to the club from Juventus as Mourinho gears up for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese coach was completely uninterested in commenting on the transfer when speaking to the media before his side’s Community Shield clash against Leicester City at Wembley.

Asked about the move for Pogba, Mourinho told BT Sport: “I’m not interested.”

He added: “Only after the match.”

United’s statement read: “Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.”

United take on Bournemouth in their first Premier League fixture under Mourinho next Sunday and the club will be hopeful of concluding the deal for Pogba before then.
