The Reds were left sweating on the fitness of their big-money summer signing after it was reported that Mane had suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder during a training session at Melwood on Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old completed a £34m switch to Liverpool from their Premier League rivals Southampton at the start of July as Klopp added some much-needed pace to his midfield options.
However, Klopp has since confirmed that Mane’s injury scare isn’t serious and the African isn’t set for a long spell on the sidelines ahead of Saturday’s Burnley clash at Turf Moor.
“It’s not that serious. It won’t take a long time,” Klopp told his pre-match media conference at Melwood on Thursday afternoon.
Klopp added: “It was a situation in a challenge with two players up in the air, they come down and Sadio fell on his shoulder, but it’s not that serious.
“I have no idea if he can play on the weekend or not but I don’t think it will take a long time. Things like this will always happen.”
Mane has made an impressive start to his Liverpool career after impressing during their pre-season tour of United States.
The Senegal forward scored a sensational fourth goal for Liverpool in Sunday evening’s 4-3 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool are in second place in the Premier League table just behind current leader Manchester United.
