Liverpool could miss out on Brazilian midfielder – report
Anderson Talisca is wanted by Wolves amid interest from Liverpool, according to reports in England
Liverpool could lose out to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to sign Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail are claiming that Wolves are lining up an £18m offer for the Benfica star following Walter Zenga’s appointment as their new manager over the weekend.
The same report claims that Liverpool have been an interested party over the past year but Wolves are holding initial contract talks with the South American forward ahead of a potential move.
Liverpool have already made a staggering seven signings in the summer transfer window so far as Jurgen Klopp continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 18-time English champions started their summer spending spree with the £4.7m signing of Loris Karius from Mainz before splashing £30m on Southampton forward Sadio Mane.
Ragnar Klavan completed a £5m switch earlier this month from Augsburg before Alex Manninger and Georgino Wijnaldum completed deals on the same day as Liverpool hit San Francisco.
Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic and Schalke defender Joel Matip have also joined the Reds squad after agreeing deals earlier this year.
