Man United could make 22-year-old Mourinho’s fourth signing – report
Jose Mourinho wants to bring Fabinho to Manchester United this summer, say reports in Brazil
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of right-back Fabinho from Monaco this summer, according to reports in Brazil.
Globoesporte is reporting that the Red Devils are close to making the 22-year-old defender Jose Mourinho’s fourth summer signing since his arrival at the Old Trafford outfit.
Mourinho worked with the defender during his time in charge at Real Madrid and the report claims that the Portuguese coach is keen to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Fabinho joined Monaco on a permanent deal from Real Madrid last summer and scored eight times in all competitions for the French club.
The defender shares the same agent – Jorge Mendes – as new United boss Mourinho.
United are currently gearing up for their first season under Mourinho following the Portuguese coach’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.
The Red Devils are hoping that the former Chelsea boss will be able to restore United to the top of English football after their fifth-placed finish under Louis van Gaal last season.
