Marcus Rashford gushes with praise for new Man United signing

Marcus Rashford cannot wait to link up with Paul Pogba at Manchester United this season

Marcus Rashford cannot contain his excitement about the prospect of lining up for Manchester United with new signing Paul Pogba.

The France midfielder finally completed his much-anticipated transfer back to Old Trafford on Tuesday after the relentless speculation linking him with a move to the club.

Pobga has been training with his United team-mates at Carrington in recent days but will miss the club’s opening Premier League game against Bournemouth due to suspension.

And the Manchester United starlet has revealed his delight at being able to link up with Pogba following the 23-year-old’s arrival at the club.

Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Rashford said of Pogba: “He’s a midfielder that can do everything.

“He can go forward, he can sit, he can score goals and create goals and he can defend – he’s an all-round player that would benefit any team. We’re just lucky to have him.

“Since all the new players have come in, the team spirit has just gone up and up and up.

“Everyone is ready for the new season. We’ve all got the same mentality, the same mindset, the same goals – we all want to win. It’s exciting for everyone.”

Manchester United finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal, before the Dutchman was sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho back in May.

The Red Devils have not lifted the Premier League trophy since 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
