Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reveal that he is feeling recharged from his summer holidays after returning to pre-season training with Arsenal this week.

The Germany playmaker was put through his paces with the rest of the Gunners squad on Wednesday after returning to London from his extended summer holiday following his involvement in Euro 2016.

Ozil is unlikely to be fit enough to feature for Arsenal in their Premier League opener against Liverpool at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

However, the 27-year-old appears to be feeling good as he begins his preparations for the new season with the Gunners.

Ozil posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday evening and wrote: “Finally back in training with fully charged batteries! #AFC @arsenal”

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.

Ozil helped the Gunners win the FA Cup in his first two campaigns at the club following his transfer from Real Madrid in 2013.
