Paul Pogba closing in on transfer to Man United – report
Paul Pogba's move to Man United is nearing completion, according to reports in Italy
Paul Pogba is edging closer to ending his transfer saga and completing a move to Manchester United from Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
Gianlucadimarzio.com are reporting that the fine details of the agreement between the player and his representatives, Juventus and United are being worked out ahead of the completion of the midfielder’s transfer to Old Trafford.
The same article states that Pogba won’t meet up with his Juventus team-mates for his scheduled return on Sunday and the France international will instead fly from New York City to England.
The box-to-box midfielder has been linked with a move to the 20-time English champions throughout the summer transfer window following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as their new manager.
Pogba was sold to the Italian giants in a cut-price deal in 2012 after the French star failed to secure regular first-team football under United legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Juventus star has since won four successive Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia crowns and finished as a Champions League runner-up.
United will face Premier League champions Leicester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
