David De Gea enjoyed some downtime with his partner after Manchester United's win over Bournemouth

David De Gea looked to be in good spirits as he enjoyed a day off with his girlfriend Edurne Garcia after helping Manchester United kick off their Premier League season with a 3-1 win at Bournemouth.

Goals from Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic handed Jose Mourinho his first Premier League victory as United boss following his appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.

Much of the United Kingdom was basked in glorious sunshine on Monday and De Gea clearly jumped at the chance to spend some time with his girlfriend after helping United get off to a winning start in the Premier League.

De Gea posted the short video clip above on his personal Instagram account on Monday evening and wrote: “Top day!!! 🔝☀️ @edurnity @theybizz”

De Gea and his United team-mates are now preparing for their Premier League clash against Southampton at Old Trafford on Monday night.
