Erik Lamela looks to be in great shape ahead of the new season as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder cooked with his girlfriend in the kitchen.

The Argentina international will have a key role to play in Mauricio Pochettino’s side again this season after Lamela flourished under his compatriot’s charge in the Premier League last term.

The 24-year-old midfielder scored five goals and made nine assists as the north London side finished in third place in the Premier League table.

However, Lamela appeared to be busy at work in the kitchen on Thursday night as the South American spent time with his girlfriend Sofia Herrero ahead of Saturday’s trip to Everton at Goodison Park.

Lamela posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Focus 👀👦👧 📄✏”

The Argentinian midfielder moved to Tottenham in a £30.75m deal from Serie A outfit Roma in 2013 as he became the north London side’s record signing.

Lamela has struggled to replicate his impressive Serie A form after a return of seven goals in 76 Premier League appearances over the past three seasons.
