Erik Lamela is eagerly anticipating Tottenham Hotspur’s return to Premier League action after the opening weekend.

The Argentina international managed to cancel out Ross Barkley’s first-half opener at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon to rescue a 1-1 draw with Everton on Merseyside.

Lamela trained with his Tottenham team-mates at Wembley on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the north London side’s Champions League group-stage campaign.

But the South American is focused on the Premier League for now as Spurs prepare for the visit of Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Lamela posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page:

“Two days … Dos días… 🏃⚽ #premierleague #COYS”

Tottenham finished in third place in the Premier League table last season after Arsenal managed to hoist themselves above the Lilywhites on the final day of the campaign.

The Lilywhites haven’t won any of their last five Premier League games after failing to beat West Brom, Chelsea, Southampton, Newcastle United and Everton.

Lamela scored 11 times in 43 games in all competitions for the north London side in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.
