Gabriel Paulista plays down concerns about his latest Arsenal injury setback...

Gabriel Paulista has taken to social media to ease fears about his ankle injury ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.

There have been concerns about the Brazilian’s fitness levels after he was carried off on a stretcher late on during Arsenal’s 3-2 pre-season win over Manchester City on Sunday evening.

The defender looked to be in considerable pain as he was brought off the field and left him as a serious injury doubt ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool at The Emirates this weekend.

However, the defender himself has used his personal Instagram account to reassure Arsenal fans that he is already feeling much better and that the injury does not seem to be as serious as first feared.

Gabriel shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday morning and wrote: “Today I feel much better, [it] is not a big problem. Thank my fans.”
