Granit Xhaka heaped praise on Arsenal after Saturday afternoon’s 3-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.

The Gunners finally recorded their first Premier League win of the season after Santi Cazorla made the breakthrough from the penalty spot in the ninth minute of the London derby.

The north London side doubled their lead through Chile international Alexis Sanchez, while World Cup winner Mesut Ozil added a third before half-time at Vicarage Road.

Xhaka started his second Premier league game of the 2016/17 campaign after the Switzerland international completed a £33m move to the Emirates Stadium from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

And the 23-year-old posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption on the photo-sharing app:

“Well done boys 3 Points💪🏻👍🏻 #gunnergranit29”

Arsenal lost 4-3 to Liverpool in their Premier League opener at The Emirates before Wenger’s side played out a goalless draw with reigning champions Leicester City.

The Gunners finished in second place in the Premier League table but 10 points behind the Foxes last term.
