Granit Xhaka was attempting to remain positive after Arsenal’s 4-3 defeat by Liverpool in their Premier League opener at The Emirates on Sunday.

The Gunners eased into a 1-0 lead thanks to Theo Walcott after the England international had earlier missed a penalty following Alberto Moreno’s reckless tackle.

However, Philippe Coutinho levelled on the stroke of half-time with a brilliant free-kick and the Brazilian netted after the break along with Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane to leave the visitors in control.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers managed to peg Liverpool back to make it 4-3 with 15 minutes remaining, but Wenger’s side were unable to find a winner.

Xhaka was a second-half substitute for the Gunners and the Switzerland midfielder wasted no time picking up his first booking of the Premier League season.

However, the £33m signing was remaining upbeat despite Arsenal’s disappointing start after making his debut in front of the Gunners supporters.

Xhaka posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“A dream come true…We will continue to fight💪🏻 #gunnergranit29”
