Michy Batshuayi is excited about his Chelsea debut
Michy Batshuayi has declared himself ready for his Chelsea debut after Saturday’s training session at Cobham.
The Belgium international completed a £33m move to the west London side from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille earlier this summer as Antonio Conte looked to bolster his attacking options at the club.
Batshuayi has featured in the Blues’s pre-season campaign as the 23-year-old attempts to forge a strike partnership with Spain international Diego Costa up front.
The summer signing could make his debut in Chelsea’s opening Premier League of the 2016/17 season when the Blues host West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
And Batshuayi took to his Instagram page to send a message to Chelsea supporters ahead of the visit of their London rivals West Ham and his potential debut.
Batshuayi posted the above photo and wrote the following caption:
“Training done ! Ready to shine with my @adidasfootball 🔥 #FirstNeverFollows #X16”
Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing campaign under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink.
Conte was named as the new permanent Chelsea manager earlier this year and took over the reins following this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament.
