Eric Bailly enjoys beating Manchester United's strike partnership in training
Eric Bailly is already on competitive terms with his new Manchester United team-mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney.
The Ivory Coast international was the first signing of the Jose Mourinho era at Old Trafford after the Red Devils signed the centre-half in a £30m deal from La Liga side Villarreal.
Bailly made his first appearance as a United player at Old Trafford mid-week for Rooney’s testimonial game which finished in a goalless draw with Premier League rivals Everton.
Mourinho put his players through their paces at Carrington training ground ahead of Sunday’s Community Shield clash between Premier League champions Leicester City and United.
And Bailly savoured his victory alongside Antonio Valencia in a game of foot tennis against Ibrahimovic and Rooney from Friday’s training session ahead of their Wembley date.
Bailly posted the below photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
United finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing campaign under Mourinho’s successor Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils did manage to win their first trophy in three years after a 2-1 extra-time victory over Crystal Palace.
