Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is in good spirits as he prepares for Arsenal's Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was in a relaxed mood as he revealed his excitement ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners are preparing to host the Merseyside outfit at The Emirates on Sunday as they look to get their top-flight campaign off to a winning start in north London.

Arsenal came in for plenty of criticism last season as they failed to maintain a credible title challenge and ended up second in the Premier League and 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.

The north London side are aiming to win the Premier League title for the first time since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.

And Oxlade-Chamberlain was relaxing with his pet dog at home over the weekend as he prepares for the first top-flight game of the season.

The midfielder shared the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Chillin with my boy after training 🐶 looking forward to the big game on Sunday! #COYG”
