Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain takes to social media to express his dissatisfaction with Arsenal's loss to Liverpool
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken to social media to express his disappointment about Arsenal’s loss to Liverpool in their opening Premier League game on Sunday afternoon.
The England midfielder was a second-half substitute at Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to a disappointing 4-3 loss to the Reds in front of their home fans in their season curtain-raiser.
Oxlade-Chamberlain scored Arsenal’s second goal but his efforts were not enough to spark a Gunners comeback as the north London side were booed off following the defeat.
Arsenal’s tricky start to the season does not get any easier, with Wenger’s men now having to turn their attentions towards their trip to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City this weekend.
And Oxlade-Chamberlain has urged his team-mates to regroup as they prepare for their clash against the Premier League champions.
The midfielder posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Monday afternoon and wrote: “Gutted with yesterday’s result. Tough start to the season, we have to make amends next weekend #afc”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season.
