Paul Pogba thanked Manchester United supporters after Friday night’s 2-0 victory over Southampton at Old Trafford.

The France international made his return to the Red Devils earlier this month after United paid a £92m fee for the midfielder.

The 23-year-old didn’t manage to get on the score sheet on his second debut for the club but still impressed for Jose Mourinho’s side.

And former Juventus star took his Instagram page to reflect on United’s 2-0 win against the Saints as the 20-time English champions moved further clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Pogba posted the above photo and wrote the following caption:

“Pogback! Thank you Manchester!! #pogback @manchesterunited”

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock in the 34th minute with a powerful header which beat Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The 34-year-old added his second from the penalty spot after Luke Shaw had his shirt pulled in the area.

Mourinho’s side will make the trip to promoted side Hull City in their next Premier League fixture next Saturday.
