Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge trained under the watchful eye of manager Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish at Melwood on Thursday.

The former Reds forward was at Liverpool’s training ground as Klopp put his squad through their paces ahead of Saturday afternoon’s trip to Burnley.

Dalglish won Liverpool’s last piece of silverware in 2012 after the legendary Scot guided the Reds to League Cup glory at Wembley.

The Merseyside outfit lost two cup finals last season after Manchester City beat the Reds on penalties in the League Cup before Klopp’s side suffered a 3-1 defeat by Sevilla in the Europa League showpiece.

However, the current Liverpool crop look in fine form after a 4-3 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of the season.

Coutinho and Roberto Firmino trained with the rest of the Liverpool squad in front of Dalglish and his fellow Liverpool legend Sammy Lee at Melwood.
