Rob Holding scores Arsenal's first goal in a 3-1 victory over Chivas in California on Sunday evening

Rob Holding opened his Arsenal account after the centre-half scored in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Chivas at StubHub Center.

The 20-year-old defender completed a move to the north London side from Bolton Wanderers earlier this month following Granit Xhaka’s £33m switch to the Emirates Stadium from Borussia Monchengladbach.

However, Holding, who has only been an Arsenal player for nine days, managed to upstage the Switzerland international as the defender powered home the opener at the end of the first half.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain added a second after the break with a brilliant solo goal before Chuba Akpom scored in successive pre-season games Stateside with a third for Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Mexican side managed to score a late consolation thanks to Angel Zaldivar’s penalty to deny the Premier League outfit a clean sheet.

Here is a round-up of the best photos from Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Chivas in California on Sunday night.
